Self Cures For Bladder Infections
Self cures for bladder infections are becoming a more popular choice of treatment for many UTI sufferers. More women are now realizing the health benefits of treating a UTI without drugs because of the chances of other infections, and the increased chance of creating drug resistant bacteria.
10 million women will get prescribed antibiotics by their doctor this year for their urinary tract infection. Of these women 50% will need a second course of treatment because the first course didn't cure their infection. With every course of antibiotics that you take without success the bacteria in your body grows resistant, and this increases your chances of your infection spreading.

Antibiotics are also the biggest cause of yeast infections in women, and this usually means another visit to the doctor for another prescription for more drugs. All these drugs have an effect on your internal health and your immune system. A self cure for a bladder infection eliminates the need of any drugs, and your health is not effected at all.
A natural UTI cure also works a lot faster than antibiotics. Instead of a 1 or 2 week course of anti bacterial drugs you can be cured in 12 hours. Natural treatments don't kill the bacteria because there is no need for it to be killed. All you need to do is flush the bacteria from your urethra and then your infection is gone.
The bacteria that causes the infection lives naturally in your body, and this is why the antibiotics have to kill all of it. You can't just kill the bacteria in your urethra because what's left in the rest of your body becomes resistant. So if you're re-infected you'll need a different type of antibiotics because the bacteria will have mutated into a stronger strain.

A natural bladder infection treatment flushes the bacteria from your urethra so the bacteria in the rest of your body isn't in any way effected. This means there is no chance of any resistant bacteria being created.
Your internal health and your immune system repay you by protecting from infection a lot more efficiently.

There are none, you need antibiotics. d-mannose and cranberry won't do a damn thing. Mercola is a quack.
Ignore the cranks.

Just because a nurse is studying medicine does not mean she is all knowing. The fact is she is
still a refuse (human faeces and urine) collector. Treat yourself with cranberry extract which is
available at link given below. Good luck and God bless. Cheers!

Once the infection is active you need antibiotics. Cranberry juice helps prevent UTIs by preventing bacteria from adhering to the urethra wall. But it cannot get rid of bacteria that is already there. Drink cranberry to help prevent future infections but you need antibiotics for the one you already have.
Edit - Mercola is a disgusting fraud.

It used to be cranberry extract capsules (not juice). The latest is d-mannose. Check out the articles at Mercola.com
Avg. recovery is 1-3 days.

I get these often too, go drink Cranberry juice, but also you can get AZO over the counter and that is for UTI's. You might pee orange for a day or so but it helps quickly.

You can tell these quacks time and time again, and put the evidence right under their noses, but still they will tell people that cranberry heals UTIs. It DOESN'T.
From the NCCAM:
"What the Science Says
There is some evidence that cranberry can help to prevent urinary tract infections; however, the evidence is not definitive, and more research is needed. Cranberry has not been shown to be effective as a treatment for an existing urinary tract infection."

If you have a UTI, you need antibiotics. See a doctor and please understand the internet is crawling with cranks, bad health advice, scams and fraud.

EDIT: @KSTUDENT, please post your peer reviewed scientific data that supports your claim: "D-Mannose does TOTALLY work".
